Issue 15 - Intersectionality and health systems

Updated: Nov 7

Introduction

Welcome back to Quarterly. This quarter, we explore the role that racism plays in health systems, and how this impacts people who experience multiple forms of discrimination. Our Academic Highlights showcases work about racial inequalities and children with autism and our Commentary explores how maternal health for Black birthing populations in the US is shaped by structural racism. Separately, this issue also presents our second Youth Voice article, where we invite a young person to comment on an issue related to racism and health of their choice.
